How to spot a reused MoMo receipt
A receipt can be genuine and still be wrong for the current sale. Check whether its reference was already accepted before giving out another product or approving another order.

Understand the reuse problem
A customer can save a real confirmation from one payment and present it again later. The amount may even match a new purchase. The receipt is not fake, but the shop would give goods twice for one transfer if staff only look at the amount or sender name. Busy periods and repeated prices make this easier to miss.
Use the transaction reference as the main identifier
Compare the full transaction reference with the receipt on the receiving phone. Then check the amount, time, wallet and related sale. A reference should identify one operator transaction. If the same reference appears in your records with an earlier completed sale or order, stop and review both records.
- Full transaction reference
- Received amount
- Receiving wallet
- Original receipt time
- Sale or order already linked to it
Check counter sales consistently
For in person sales, keep the receiving phone’s recent activity available to the cashier or supervisor. Search or review earlier receipts when the time looks old or a familiar reference appears. Mark unusual cases in the day record so the closing review can compare them with the operator statement. Do not depend on memory when several staff share the counter.
Check online orders by order and receipt
WeConfirm Pay links a submitted payment claim to a WooCommerce order and checks it against receipts recorded on the assigned phone. A receipt that was already claimed for another order should stay for review rather than paying the new order. Keep background tasks running so order checks and cleanup happen on time, and inspect the earlier order before changing a result.
Resolve the case without exposing account access
Ask the customer for the current transaction reference and payment time. Do not request their PIN and do not share yours. If the receipt belongs to an earlier purchase, explain which detail did not match and ask for proof of the current transaction. If the operator history is unclear, use the official account channel and keep the goods on hold until the payment is resolved.
